Is it just super fit people that attend Original Bootcamp?
No way! Its all kinds of people of all shapes and sizes from all walks of life! Participants vary in so many ways, from people wanting a change from the normal gym or sporting activities, people that think they won't fit in, people who need a kick-start into getting active or motivated, people that are looking for the next challenge and people that havent exercised in years. So pretty much anybody and everybody!

What does a typical session consist of?
Every workout is different. At Original Bootcamp we have 3 different focus days,

Strength (And cardio) we work on your upper and lower body strength with different activities such as circuit, weight balls, body weight, military equipment and other equipment that is new and different to any other strength workout you would have seen.

Cardio (And Strength) Working on your cardio-vascular fitness as well as your endurance and agility. I.e. Hill sprints, distance runs, stairs, races, relays, cardio circuits, pack marches and much more.

Battle PT (And everything else) This is a day where we incorporate all aspects of your fitness. Usually based on a task that has to be accomplished by your team within the time frame given for that session. Most important aspect of this day is teamwork.
You will start and finish each Original Bootcamp session with a warm up/warm down and stretch to make sure that you are getting the most of your workout and avoiding any injuries.

What if its raining?
Unless notified by your instructor on that morning, prior to arriving Original Bootcamp is conducted rain, hail or shine. The only weather that will course a cancellation is if there is lightening touching ground in or around the training area. Some locations that have indoor facilities available - you will be advised if it is required.

Do I need to be fit to do Original Bootcamp?
No, you dont - but you do have to have the commitment and positive attitude that will get you to your goals. Our instructors are there to motivate you and help you achieve those goals - you just need to turn up! Original Bootcamps unique outlook that Fitness can be fun is true! We have proved this time and time again with the many participants returning month after month seeing amazing changes and results in themselves. Our aim is to help people realise their own potential, and see health and fitness as we do An important and essential part of everyday life!

Do I need to get clearance from my doctor before attending the course?
We would strongly suggest that you do if you have any past or pre-conditions which could include high/low blood pressure, heart conditions, dizziness and fainting, if you are on any prescribed medication or recently had a baby You should discuss this with your doctor. Once you have been cleared to attend the course, simply complete the Original Bootcamp medical form and bring it along on your first day. You will need to advise your instructor of anything of importance.

Do I need to be a member of any clubs involved?
Nope once you have participated in a course or program within Original Bootcamp you automatically become a member unless you indicate otherwise. Membership includes promotions, special offers and social events etc.

How many people in each Original Bootcamp session?
Original Bootcamp is run with a minimum instructor to recruit ratios of 1:16 per course to make sure that everybody receives personalised attention and gets the most out of their time with us. Group size varies depending on location and time of day.

What should I wear to the sessions?
When you enlist in ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP you will receive your own ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP Recruit t-shirt, which you are to wear to each and every session.
You need to make sure that you have a decent pair of running shoes, no skater shoes, street shoes, dress shoes, basketball boots or tennis shoes. An easy way to pick a pair of runners is to check that from just above the ball of your foot, the shoes start to curl up off the ground. Make sure that you are dressed to suit the weather Original Bootcamp sessions run rain, hail or shine! Bring water and a warm clean top to put on after training. Your instructors will lock your keys away for you while you train, and supply any exercise equipment that you will be using during the session. Do not wear any loose or expensive jewellery during the training sessions as it gets damaged and even worse, lost.

How old do I have to be to attend Original Bootcamp?
You must be at least 18 years old to attend the program unless there are circumstances previously discussed with the customer care Manager. All participants must complete the Original Bootcamp medical form before commencing the course.
